Know More About Visiting Canada

You require a visa to enter Canada depending on the country of your residence.  A temporary residence will allow you to come to Canada and meet your loved ones or to conduct a business as a business visa.

Citizens of certain countries do not require Visa to entre Canada, however they might have to apply for an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) before coming to Canada. Other Foreign national of all other countries require a Valid Temporary Resident Visa before entering Canada. 

On November 10th,2016, foreign national from Visa exempt countries travelling to Canada by air must get eTA. It a valid up to the period of 5 years or up to the expiry of the passport if passport is valid for less than 5 years.

Type of Temporary Resident Visa:

  1. Single Entry Visa- this allows a foreign national who wish to enter Canada only one time/single entry to Canada.
  2. Multiple Entry Visa- this allows a foreign national who wish to enter Canada unlimited entry to Canada.
  3. Transit Visa – this allow a foreign national who are travelling and who wants to stop in Canada for less than 48 hours, but who’s country of origin is one that requires a visa. 

Super Visa

his is the special visa issued to the parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens and permanent residents. This is the permit which allow an extended stay up to the period of 2 years so that families can stay together for a longer period of time. Admissibility criteria, including medical admissibility, income requirements for the hosts, and private insurance requirements apply.

Medical is required if the foreign national who wish to stay in Canada for a period of more than 6 months.
